Why buy your pudding from the ALPORT FOUNDATION OF AUSTRALIA?
We are a local not for profit charity, entirely run by volunteers, so you are guaranteed that every cent we raise will fund research to find a cure for Alport Syndrome. ‘AS’ is a rare genetic kidney disease which affects men and women, but males will suffer renal failure, requiring long periods of dialysis, hearing loss and eye abnormalities often by the time they are 25 – 30 years of age. There is no cure.
Since 2008 the ALPORT FOUNDATION OF AUSTRALIA has provided substantial research grants to Australian Universities and research laboratories who are studying cures and therapies for genetic diseases. Most recently, we have supported researchers at the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Westmead ( $19,500) and Professor Sharon Riccardo at Monash University Department of Genetics ($20,000).
PUDDING LANE puddings are handmade in Newcastle (Shortland), from 100% Australian vine fruit, no sulphites and nothing artificial.
Our puddings are priced at the recommended retail price, so you will pay no more if you purchase from us. The difference being that profits above factory wholesale will fund research, rather than go to big business. (We don’t even deduct the price of a postage stamp from our donations.)
